Sometimes when it comes to revising works I’ve written, even when I’m working with notes from a beta reader and I get to decide what to change or not, I have huge resistance to the work. Something in me hates reading my work again, although when a piece has rested for a bit I can always see it more clearly and often find that I like most of what I’ve done (while inevitably seeing pieces that need polishing, too). Anyway, that’s today’s struggle—getting past the resistance and sitting down to work. Writing really scares me sometimes. I’m going to do it anyway.
